The Value Of Technology
In the technologically ritten world we find ourselves in today it is not uncommon for many people to feel an attachment to technology. Due to this we all have our own relationship with the vast amounts of technology we have access to. For me personally I lean toward having a more Cyberpunk esk view of technology. Mainly when it comes to information. You see with the vast acesse of technology that we have has opened so many doors to learn and acquire new information. Unfortunately with all of this information available and easily accessible we are often left susceptible to large amounts of misinformation or the more popular term “fake news”. DUe to this increase in false information factual info has become intensely valuable and is treated like a currency, a concept that is popularized by the cyberpunk genre. This idea that information is a currency and is what is valuable today reigns so true with me as it allows us to use this infinite resource that is the internet to give the people of the world knowledge that they could never dream of. Most of us today have the luxury of if we have a question we can simply google the answer or find the definition to a word on dictionary.com. In short the wealth of information we have access to now is truly valuable and technology has opened this door for us. While there is some misinformation about the overall good content we have access to show the true value of technology in today’s world.
