My first Interview is with Tara Brenner a high school senior who has spent the last two years of her high school experience dealing with the effects of Covid-19. My Goal for the interview was to see how other students where dealing with the changes to the standard learning environment.

I will be referring to her as Tara for the Interview.

Dallas: Hello Tara, how are you today?

Tara: I’m good.

Dallas: Ok let’s get started.

Dallas: How has being a remote student affected your motivation for school work?

Tara: My motivation has been down as I have not been held as accountable by my teachers and because of that I have been less motivated to do work.

Dallas: Ok thank you. Have you found school as far as content to overall be easier or harder?

Tara: To me school has honestly been easier. I have found the information from my teachers is more easily accessible and most of my teachers are giving me more time.

Dallas: That’s an interesting take. Going off that you find your teachers to be more or less accommodating?

Tara: My teachers have been much more understanding as Covid has affected many people in many different ways.

Dallas: Ok your next question is have you found it harder or easier to focus being remote

Tara. It has been significantly more difficult to focus as there are countless more distractions at home weather than in person.

Dallas: Ok thank you for your answers so far. My last question for you is how do you think you have handled the responsibility of having a more easy going environment?

Tara: I was honestly not as responsible during covid because my teachers were more lenient and the overall environment was more relaxed and I was not held as accountable for my actions as I would have been in a normal year.

Dallas: Thank you for the wonderful answers and for your time.
